Puzzle. Notecards. Calendar.
Sad to say, the world of paper calendars is changing, and so no Flora 2025 calendar in the works. I do have an idea about making a downloadable self-printable calendar, so check back later in, say, November, when the rain and cold starts here in Oak Grove, Oregon, and I can focus on a project like that!
Who could have imagined that puzzles would be the most genius of marketing strategies for the spring of 2020? Well, as you can imagine, these things take time, and no one could have imagined an 850% increase in puzzle sales for this time of pandemic pursuits! Pomegranate is a local Portland company specializing in the creation of notecards, puzzles, calendars and books featuring the artwork of everyone from Wayne Thiebaud, Charlie Harper, Edward Gorey and Jackson Pollock to little old me! I’m glad for this collaboration with such a fine company. Now I just need to figure out how to do a puzzle in a house with two cats!
To check on availability, try here: https://www.pomegranate.com/aa1087.html . It sold out quite quickly first printing, as well as its second, and is now in its third printing. It’s back now!
For a little news clip about puzzles during the pandemic with Pomegranate. It’s a great story about a local business that I’m proud to work with. Till museum shops reopen, buying directly from Pomegranate is a great way to support all of us.
There’s a new puzzle of mine for 2022, one of my favorite images called “Chaos”. It’s a peek at an imaginary chaotic scene that is actually pretty orderly! Beetles and bees! Springtime in the Willamette Valley.
I love these peeks into others’ worlds when they’re putting together the puzzle. (click on any image to see the whole thing) If you have a selfie you’d like to share, I’d love to see it! You can email it to me here: deb@debstoner.com. Thanks! This makes me so happy!
Published by the fabulous Pomegranate company. Now out of stock, but the good news is that next year, there’s a new one coming out!
A few years back, this 2020 calendar project got started by a collector of my work who was a designer for a publishing company. She thought my photography might make a good calendar, and so we worked together to get the images just right. I’m proud of the results, and it’s beautifully printed. Many thanks to Powell’s City of Books in Portland, OR for carrying it, and to all you local supporters for buying it!
